This delicious smoothie recipe has outstanding skin health properties as well as overall health and well-being properties.
Not only does it taste delicious, but it contains ingredients that are so good for us.
Bananas contain a high source of fibre and potassium which is excellent for overall health, while the chia seeds have essential fatty acids which are important for a youthful looking skin.
We’ve also used honey to sweeten up the smoothie which has great antibacterial properties.
However, the most important ingredient is almond milk – it is very high in Vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant which is very important for skin health to protect our skin from free radicals.
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 cup chia tea mix (cardamom, black tea, star anise, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger)
- Frozen sliced bananas
- Add the frozen bananas to a blender
- Then add the chai ‘tea’
- Now add the honey to sweeten the smoothie
- Finally add the almond milk and blend
